What exists is a proposal for a three-year agreement, which must, however, be approved by the union’s board and members before the strike is called off. No details of what the agreement contains have been made public.
The agreement was hammered out during a five-day negotiation marathon.
Among other things, wants to limit AI
The screenwriters union WGA went on strike on May 2 demanding better conditions, more money from streaming and limiting the use of AI in the scripting process.
The agreement does not apply to the acting union in the United States, which has also been on strike for better conditions since July.
