Around Israel, tens of thousands of people are demonstrating on Saturday against the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and for an agreement to release the hostages, reports Haaretz.
Demonstrations were held in cities such as Jerusalem and Kfar Saba, and according to the organizer in Tel Aviv there were around 100,000 people there.
Clashes with police broke out at the demonstration in Tel Aviv, according to Israeli media, and police said one person was arrested.
A car also ran over five protesters in Tel Aviv. The people were taken to hospital without serious injuries.
It has been six months since the Gaza war broke out and terrorist-branded Hamas attacked Israel and took people hostage.
According to Israel, around 100 people are still being held hostage by Hamas. In addition, several of the hostages have died during their time in captivity.
