The Tunisian tennis player, a finalist in New York in 2022 against Iga Swiatek, had skipped the Paris Olympic Games to preserve her physical condition. But at the beginning of August, the current 17th player in the world had to withdraw from the Washington tournament. She then lost in the first round of the Toronto tournament against Japan’s Naomi Osaka before withdrawing from the Masters 1000 in Cincinnati. Belgian Elise Mertens will replace Ons Jabeur at the US Open.
