Tennis: Paula Badosa in tears after new injury – supported by Aryna Sabalenka

The good friends met in the round of 16 at the WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart, Germany. And Paula Badosa, now ranked 93rd in the world, gave world number two Aryna Sabalenka a tough match.

But in the third and deciding set, Badosa felt compelled to break the match at 3-3.

In the past, she has had major problems with a back injury. It kept her out of action in three out of four majors last year. But now it appeared to be the one thigh that was bothering the 26-year-old.

– I feel so much for her. I really hope she recovers quickly and is ready to play in Madrid, said Aryna Sabalenka.

The WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid begins on April 23.
