Watch as Vondrousova gets injured in the player above!
World number six Marketa Vondrousova has loaded up with a tournament in Berlin before Wimbledon.
In the meeting with Anna Kalinskaja, Russia, more specifically during the first set, she injured herself badly.
Vondrousova was leading the match 5-3 when she slipped and remained on the grass for a while in the German capital. Doctors were called for treatment and the Czech continued to play for a while before she was finally forced to throw in the towel.
Vondrousova is the reigning Wimbledon champion. She won surprisingly last year and now risks missing the chance to defend her title if the injury turns out to be long-term. It is still unclear what her status is.
Wimbledon starts on July 2nd.
