According to the police, the train was traveling at low speed.
– The train was not still on the scene when the police arrived, so the driver probably did not notice that someone had been hit. We are searching for the driver now to get a clearer picture of what may have happened, says Christina Hallin, press spokesperson for the Bergslagen region police.
The boy was taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment. According to the police, he was conscious but had head injuries and a sore leg.
The police are now interviewing witnesses to get an idea of what happened.
