While this week’s weather is disrupted, the trend could reverse soon. But the sun will be accompanied by a very sudden drop in temperatures.
After a weekend cut in two, the weather remains unstable in France. No one is going to escape the rain midweek. Tuesday and Wednesday, the rains are very heavy, they will even be stormy in the south-eastern quarter of the country. Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Ardèche, Gard, Lozère, Isère, Loire, Rhône, Ain, Jura and Saône-et-Loire have been placed on orange rain vigilance -flooding by Météo-France. In the west, the weather is also unstable with showers. That being said, the temperatures are mild. Wednesday, the day is more hectic. The arrival of Storm Kirk brings violent winds, up to 100 km/h, and torrential rains in the north and west, according to The Weather Channel.
Thursday, even if the storm calms down, the wind is still present in the north and east in the morning and a little rain is still perceptible during the day. We must therefore wait until Friday to see any real improvement. A few showers will remain north of the Seine. Thursday, however, will mark a drop in temperatures which will fall below seasonal norms. Drier but significantly cooler weather is forecast for the weekend.
The drop in temperatures will, in fact, continue this weekend according to The Weather Channel. From Saturday morning, temperatures will drop to just 2 degrees, with a risk of hoar frost in the north and center-east. It will be particularly cool when you wake up in Nord-Pas-de-Calais, Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Normandy and Alsace.
Saturday afternoon, it will only be around ten degrees in the north and up to 19 in the Mediterranean region. However, the sun should be present in most regions, after the morning fog dissipates. Enough to spend a lovely afternoon before the days shorten drastically with the time change at the end of October. A few clouds will persist south of the Garonne.
This weather will continue throughout the weekend with generous sunshine, Sunday in particular will be a beautiful sunny day, the most beautiful in days! But watch out for the cold, which may still surprise you: temperatures will be between 4 and 16 degrees in the morning and between 12 and 21 in the afternoon. These predictions have yet to be confirmed, but they remain the majority option.
