In the USA, the temperature record is broken with the effect of the heat wave. The National Weather Service (NWS) announced yesterday that temperature records were broken in 38 cities in the country.
While the temperature record was broken with 47.2 degrees yesterday in Las Vegas, the temperature reached 53.9 degrees in Death Valley in California. In Arizona, the southwestern state of the USA, the temperature did not fall below 43 degrees for 17 days.

Authorities have warned that vulnerable people, including children, pregnant women and the elderly, are at serious risk, noting that there may be discomfort from the heat.
Mobile clinics across the country have treated homeless people suffering from third-degree sunburn, while public buildings in parts of California and Nevada have been turned into “cooling centers” where people can stay protected from the heat. (UAV)
