It took a long time for Telegram to change tack. In August, the help of the European Commission was requested to take action. According to Offlimits, criminal items are offered on Telegram, such as weapons, drugs, images of child sexual abuse and therefore also banga lists. Telegram has now committed to removing these lists. Offlimits will also have a direct line to pass on reports, something that is common with other major social media platforms.
