Telegram first made the following brief summary about the newly released update: “The first Telegram update of the year adds 10 key features as a warm-up exercise.” The company stated the following about the new features it brought through the application update notes:

-PROFILE PHOTO CREATOR: Quickly create group and profile pictures from animated emoticons and stickers with the new “Set Emoticon” option. Anyone can use animated and custom emoticon for these images, even if they don’t have Telegram Premium.”

The company also added the following to the update points:
-CHOOSE CHAT FOR BOTS: Bot developers can now allow users to quickly select groups, channels or people who meet predefined criteria (more on @BotNews).
-RELOG IN WITH APPLE ID: Signed out users can quickly sign in using their Apple ID without entering an SMS code (the Two-Step Verification password is still required).
