The start of the deposit machines at Utrecht Central did not go smoothly. In January, two months after the start, only one of the four machines was working. The signal that a return machine is almost full did not come through, so most of them were turned off. Now that the technical problem has been solved, the project has been expanded to the other stations. The vending machines were already there, but had not yet been put into use due to the start-up problems.
