Teenagers shot at crowd in Eskilstuna – sentenced for attempted murder

It was on June 10 last year that fire was opened against a crowd in Nyfors in Eskilstuna. Several people were at risk of injury and the incident was classified as attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences.

Two teenage boys were arrested and subsequently charged. Now both are sentenced for attempted murder against several people.

One teenager was 15 years old at the time of the incident. Considering his age, he is therefore sentenced to closed youth care for one year and seven months.

The older of the teenagers was 18 at the time of the incident. The district court believes that the act was planned and also part of organized crime. The district court therefore sentences the 19-year-old to 14 years in prison.
