A teenage boy has been arrested in Jälla, northeast of Uppsala, on suspicion of preparing for public destruction.
The police wanted to check the boy, who was traveling on an electric scooter, just before midnight. But he did not stop and shortly afterwards the police found the scooter thrown away and a short distance away they also found the boy, who is under 18 years old.
The boy had a bag with him, in which the police found a suspected dangerous object. The national bomb disposal unit was called in and made the assessment that the object was sharp, the police write on their website.
The young man is now under arrest.
