When the injured boy sought treatment, his injuries were deemed life-threatening. In that situation, the healthcare staff alerted the police, who have investigated the matter. According to prosecutor Irene Falk, the boy who was injured and the suspect were acquaintances from before.
“They disliked each other and had arranged to meet in a basement where they started fighting,” she tells SVT.
Several people were at the scene when the fight broke out. The evidence includes, among other things, a film showing the incident. The accused boy admits that he handed out the stabbing, but denies the crime. The knife that was supposed to have been used has not been found.
The knife-cut boy has been allowed to leave the hospital and is expected to almost recover. The suspect is not detained due to his young age.
