It was around 02:00 that the police were alerted to loud explosions in Frölunda in Gothenburg. On the spot, the police seized several empty shell casings. The facade was damaged, but no one is said to have been injured.
Arrested for attempted murder
The man arrested is a teenager, like the man arrested for the explosion against the same house on Sunday.
– There are connections to Sunday’s explosion, but we are trying to investigate broadly, says Max Olsson.
Connection to criminal networks
During the night, the police carried out door knocks, a technical investigation and also carried out so-called coercive measures. Both incidents can be linked to criminal networks, according to the police.
– It is very serious because it is happening in a densely built-up area. It creates anxiety among those who live there, says Max Olsson.
Is there a risk of further escalation of violence with these two events?
– There is always a risk of things escalating, but we feel safe in our investigation.
