Teen promise replaces suspended Kevin Magnussen in Azerbaijan Sports

Kevin Magnussen is sidelined for the Azerbaijan GP on September 15.

Young British driver Oliver Bearman drive a dane by Kevin Magnussen replacing the Haas team’s car in next weekend’s Azerbaijan F1-GP, the team said on Friday. Magnussen received a one-race ban after filling up his “caution account” after crashing in last weekend’s Italian GP.

Bearman, 19, was seen at the wheel of Ferrari at the Saudi Arabian GP from the beginning of the season, when he missed the race due to appendicitis and surgery Carlos Sainz. In that F1 debut, Bearman drove in the points after finishing seventh.

– It’s challenging to jump from reserve to race driver, preparation time is limited. Fortunately, I have done this earlier this year, and I can draw on that experience, Bearman talked.

Bearman has previously been named Haas’ regular driver for next season.
