STRATFORD – An 18-year-old was taken to Stratford hospital with serious injuries and later charged with multiple offenses after a motorcycle collided with a car on Thursday morning.

The collision happened before noon. Stratford police said a motorcycle – headed south on Downie Street – was speeding when it passed a vehicle just north of St. Patrick Street. The motorcycle then struck the rear driver’s-side door of a car crossing Downie Street and the rider was ejected, landing in the back seat of the car, police said.
An 81-year-old woman was uninjured, police said. An air ambulance was called in but wasn’t ultimately needed.
Roads around the area were closed while Stratford police officers investigated. An 18-year-old is charged with careless driving and driving without insurance or license plates, police said.
Windsor police arrest man for alleged child sexual exploitation
Windsor police say they have arrested a 47-year-old man for the alleged sexual exploitation of a child he befriended at a playground.

The major crimes unit started investigating May 25 after receiving a report about an alleged incident.
Police said an adult male befriended a 13-year-old at a basketball court in early May. Over the next several weeks, the suspect requested explicit photos from the child and offered the victim money in exchange for sexual favors, police said.
The 47-year-old Windsor man is charged with possession of child pornography for an unlawful purpose and invitation to sexual touching from a child under 16 years old.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and urged anyone with information about the case to call investigators at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830. To provide anonymous tips, citizens can contact Crime Stoppers at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
The organization Child Safe Canada offers a slew of tips for parents to help educate their children and keep them safe from potential harm by both strangers and people close to them.
“In the case of potential luring or abduction, children need clear and simple guidelines to identify safe and unsafe situations, no matter who the offending person may be,” the organization writes online.
