Chatham-Kent police responded to a vehicle complaint Sunday evening on Bloomfield Road in Chatham.

Police found the vehicle and arrested the male driver for suspected impaired operation. He was then taken to headquarters to provide breath samples.

The 17-year-old Chatham youth allegedly blew nearly three times the legal limit, police said.

He was charged with operation while impaired and having a blood-alcohol level greater than 80 milligrams. He was released with a short date.

Pair accused of stealing vehicle

Police found a vehicle early Monday morning on Michener Road in Chatham that had allegedly been reported stolen last week.

A man and woman were discovered exiting the allegedly stolen vehicle, police added.

A 36-year-old Chatham man and a 37-year-old Chatham woman were charged with possession of property obtained by crime with a value less than $5,000. They were released pending a short date.

Stolen credit card charge

Police received reports Sunday that a stolen credit card was allegedly used at a business on Queen Street in Chatham.

Police visited the business and were able to identify a suspect. Police located a 22-year-old Chatham woman shortly afterwards.

She was arrested and released with a short date.
