Teemu Pulkkinen continues his career in Russia

The Finnish striker has signed a contract with the KHL team Kunlu Red Star.

Finn Teemu Pulkkinen has signed a one-year contract with KHL club Kunlun Red Star, the Russian league says on its website.

Pulkkinen is the only Finnish hockey player who has continued his career in the KHL after the war of aggression started by Russia.

Pulkkinen has commented on his playing in Russia only once in the Finnish media in the summer of 2022.

– Yeah, I don’t… I’m not… And there’s nothing here. I don’t want to take any position on this, Pulkkinen told MTV Urheilu before than hung up his phone.

The 31-year-old forward played the last two seasons in Traktor Chelyabinsk. He has played 282 games in the KHL and scored 99+74=173 points.
