Minnesota United’s Teemu Puki had a two-goal week in the North American MLS series. Alex Ring scored a spectacular goal for Austin FC.
Teemu Pukki has gotten into a good finishing mood as Huuhkajie’s EC qualifying matches approach. Pukki, who plays for Minnesota United’s MLS team, already broke his long dry season earlier this week when he scored a goal in a 3-0 win over Colorado Rapids.
Puk’s great week continued when he finished off Minnesota’s goal in a 1-1 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes. Pukki gave Minnesota a 1-0 away lead in the fourth minute. The hosts Cade Cowell cleared in the 16th minute.
Pukki, who moved to Minnesota in the summer, has now scored three goals on MLS pitches. Before this week’s successes, he played eight matches without a goal, when the bills include the North American leagues cup in addition to the MLS games.
Alex Ring painted spectacularly
He was responsible for the second Finnish goal in Saturday’s round Alex Ring. Ring, representing Austin FC, led his team to a 2-2 draw against the New England Revolution. Ring scored his goal with his handsome move when the match was already in extra time.
In next week’s European Championship qualifiers, Finland will face Kazakhstan on Thursday, September 7 at 5 p.m. and Denmark on Sunday, September 10 at 7 p.m. Both matches can be watched on channels.
