The return of The Night Agent is not far away. After Netflix recently delighted fans with the news that the action thriller series is definitely going into a third season, the start of the second season is now being prepared. We’ve been waiting for the launch date to be announced for months. Now Netflix has let the cat out of the bag.
When does The Night Agent season 2 start on Netflix?
The Night Agent season 2 will be released on January 23, 2025 on Netflix. Ten episodes await us again, which lead us ever deeper into a large conspiracy. The focus of the story is still FBI agent Peter Sutherland, played by Gabriel Basso, and there is plenty of action again.

The Night Agent is based on the novel of the same name written by Matthew Quirk. The film adaptation was created by Shawn Ryan, who is also behind series such as The Shield, Timeless and SWAT. The one released by Netflix via press release Synopsis for the 2nd season of the spy series reads like this:
The ten episodes focus on FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), whose previous efforts to save the president now give him the opportunity to become a Night Agent. But working for the mysterious organization Night Action leads Peter into a world where danger is omnipresent and trust is in short supply. Who is in the cast of The Night Agent Season 2?
In addition to Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Amanda Warren and Arienne Mandi are part of the cast of the second season of The Night Agent. The latest press release also reveals that Louis Herthum, Berto Colon, Michael Malarkey, Keon Alexander, Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban and Rob Heaps can be seen in other roles.
Season 1 of The Night Agent marks one of the biggest successes in Netflix history. In fact, the 2023 debut round was the most-watched English-language original on the streaming service’s platform. In the all-time ranking, the series is currently ranked 7th among the most-watched English-language series.
