(Finance) – Just a few more days and the Teacher’s card of the current year, confirmed for the traditional ones 500 euros in totalwill be available for approximately 650,000 teachers: this was communicated on Ministry of Education and Merit announcing, also via the internet, that on Monday 14 October, from 2.00 pm, those entitled will once again be able to access the electronic purses of the Teacher’s Card and generate vouchers for the purchase of goods and services useful for professional development. “It’s a shame that MIM itself specifies that “the initiative is reserved for people only tenured teachers”he commented Anief.

“Exclude the precarious constitutes evident discrimination”, he added. The Minister of Education and Merit Giuseppe Valditara himself today commented as follows: the confirmation of the 500 euro annual card “dispels the alarmist and unfounded rumors spread in recent days, I also asked that in Budget law includes the funding of the Charter also for temporary teachers”.

“Anief appreciates Minister Valditara’s words – he says Marcellus Pacificnational president of Anief – also because they go in the direction of over 90% of the courts that have examined the case: denying substitutes the Charter established with law 107/2015 to carry out the training and professional updating of teachers, which have become mandatory with the same law, represents a contradiction already highlighted by the Council of State, by the European Court of Justice and a year ago also by the Supreme Court. If all the high courts have reached the same conclusion, i.e. that the costs for compulsory training, introduced by Law 107/15, together with the teacher’s card, must be extended to temporary workers, the legislator should ask himself more than one question. In the meantime, we believe it is our duty to have a free appeal lodged through our lawyers, so as to ask for explanations from the competent judge and recover up to 3,500 euros plus interest from a temporary or former precarious teacher”.

Access to the card – writes Orizzonte Scuola today – will be possible via the portal dedicatedafter a systems alignment intervention. The Ministry also confirmed the amount of 500 euros available to each permanent teacher for the current school year. The Charter is intended for permanent permanent teachers of state schools, both full-time and part-time, including teachers in training and probationary periods, unfit for health reasons, in positions of command, secondment, out of tenure or otherwise used, and those operating in overseas and military schools. To access the Teacher’s Card portal it is necessary to use level 2 SPID credentials or the Electronic Identity Card (CIE).

THE funds they can be used for the purchase of books, texts in digital format, magazines, hardware, software, enrollment in professional refresher and qualification courses, degree courses, university master’s degrees, admission tickets to theatrical and cinematographic performances, museums, exhibitions, cultural events and live shows. The training initiatives must be consistent with the activities envisaged in the schools’ Three-Year Training Offer Plan and the National Training Plan.
