A biology lesson at a high school in Uppsala went off the rails last November. The teacher completely lost control of the rowdy lesson and ended up kicking a student in the groin.

The teacher has now been convicted of minor assault, writes SVT Uppsala. The district court does not issue a fine as the man also lost his job. However, he must pay SEK 10,000 in damages to the boy.

The teacher has denied any crime and claims that he only “poked the student with his toe”. According to the boy, he was in pain for over 20 minutes after the kick.
