A teacher has been arrested on suspicion of rape and child sexual abuse.
The crimes are said to have taken place at the school where the teacher worked. Several children may have been affected, writes Borås Tidning.
The suspicions against the man arose just over a year ago. He was then suspended from his job, and is now no longer employed at the school.
The teacher was arrested in his absence last week.
– It is only now that we have found material that allows us to request that he be detained, says chamber prosecutor Sofia Bryngelsson to BT.
The man denies the crime, but is now in custody for, among other things, a rape of a child. The district court considers that there are probable grounds for the suspicions.
A crisis group was set up at the school when the first suspicions became known.
