Taylor Swift fans shocked by UK stabbing – take action | News in brief

Taylor Swift’s fans, or Swifties, decided to set up a fundraiser for the families of the victims of Monday’s stabbing in Britain.

Two children died and nine were injured in a stabbing that took place in Southport, near Liverpool, in the UK on Monday morning, six of whom are in hospital in a critical condition.

The people who were stabbed took part in a dance and yoga class, which, according to the online announcement, was aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 11. The course was described as “Taylor Swift themed”.

Taylor Swift’s fans were shocked by the incident and decided to help the families of the victims of the attack, reported The Times.

In less than a day, more than 1,600 people have participated in the collection, the money of which will be donated to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which treats some of the victims of the attack.

The collection was started by members of the Taylor Swift UK & EU group on Facebook.

– We are working in cooperation with the children’s hospital to collect funds to help the families who have faced the tragedy. We are collecting funds for the funeral of two young Swifties who died tragically, the group writes on the fundraising website.

At two o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, almost 55,000 euros in donations have already been collected.
