Speaking at the “Asvis live” meeting, Leo added: “we have introduced targeted interventions with the resources available, concentrated on medium-low incomes with the cutting of the tax wedge and the remodulation of Irpef rates which we are simultaneously carrying forward with the implementing decree of the fiscal delegation. In 2024 we will have a three-rate system, 23%, 35% and 43%.”
To compensate for the tax relief resulting from the reorganization of Irpef rates on incomes higher “a deductible of 260 euros has been introduced on deductions, excluding healthcare ones, for incomes exceeding 50,000 euros”.
In the process of implementing the delegation tax “We will also intervene on taxation environmental” specifically in the legislative decree on the reorganization of excise duties, the deputy minister then explained. On the issue of subsidies harmful for the environmentfor which Asvis is asking for their elimination, Leo explained that “we will intervene gradually. We must act carefully, those subsidies cannot be eliminated overnight because this would create problems for the production system”.
