“It is not acceptable – he commented Stephen Cuzzilla, President Cida, confederation of company managers – that just over 13% of the population faces the burden of almost half of Italians who do not declare income and find benefits in a tangle of benefits and supports, often granted without verifying their actual need. A 13% who earn from 35 thousand euros gross and above, and who for this reason cannot benefit from the cut to the tax wedge because they are considered too rich and cannot protect themselves from inflation even when they reach retirement, again because they are considered too rich”.

In the analysis of the Social Security Itineraries guided study centre, the gap between contribution income and expenditure is highlighted performance pensions which is much larger in the South than in the North. In 2021, at a national level, the coverage rate of contributions compared to benefits is equal to 80.45%, an improvement compared to the previous survey (76.43%). There Lombardy has a contribution to performance ratio of 99.66% and the Trentino of 103.01% while the coverage in Calabria is 49.98% and in Sicily by 61.27%. On further 48 billion overall imbalance almost 10.8 are due to Campania And Sicily. In strong imbalance in the North are the Piedmont with a coverage of 72.92% and the Liguria with 64.83%.
