HOUTEN – The volleyball players of Taurus and the women of VV Utrecht have booked a victory in the Eredivisie. The men from Houten were 3-2 too strong for Sliedrecht Sport. The Utrecht volleyball players defeated Voltena 0-3.
Taurus had little to say in the first set and lost 13-25. They then bent the deficit in sets into a lead by winning 25-22 and 25-21. The teams were evenly matched in the fourth set. The guests came out on top with 27-29, meaning that a fifth set had to determine the winner. Taurus took it 15-12. Hans van Westrienen was the top scorer at Taurus with 22 points.
The volleyball players from Houten are fourth with 23 points from fourteen games.
Exciting match VV Utrecht
VV Utrecht took a big lead against Dynamo in the first set. And that was no longer handed over: 17-25. The second set was more exciting, but the Utrecht team were again in charge with 23-25. The further into the game, the better the home side came into play. In the last set they had a nine point lead, but VV Utrecht fought back and won 22-25. Lisa Harmsen was the visitors’ top scorer with 22 points.
VV Utrecht is fifth with 25 points from fourteen games.
