Taru Lahti-Liukkonen and Niina Ahtiainen won their first main series spot in the highest category of the beach volleyball world tour, i.e. the Elite16 level, since September of last year.
The Finnish pair won both of their qualifying games in Hamburg in straight sets against their Dutch and Argentinian opponents.
