Update: We updated this guide on July 2nd at 5:00 p.m.
The first in-game event has started in Tarisland with the Food Festival. Until July 3, 2024, you can try your hand at cooking and receive exclusive rewards. The Food Festival is the first seasonal event in Tarisland. MeinMMO summarizes everything you need to know about the world event.
How does the food festival work? You can access the “Food Festival” tab via the event symbol (the cornucopia). One look is enough to see that the various activities of the event are only unlocked gradually.
The event gives you access to new buff food recipes that provide you with more vitality, attack power or other stat increases. There are also rainbow candies that you can exchange for rewards at the grocery store, as well as a carrot pendant.

The cinematic trailer for the launch of Tarisland:
Task 1: Cooking dishes
Food trucks have appeared in every town where you can cook special dishes. For example, travel to the central square in Silver City and then go up the northern stairs to complete the first task at the food truck there: Cook a dish.
To do this, however, you first have to find the right ingredients. You can buy the barbecue sauce for a few silver pieces from the nearby Manny Dodo, Manny Max at the Ancash tribe will provide you with soup pot, and Manny Biggs from the Clouded Forest will give you rosemary.
You can find out exactly what you need from the cookbook on the event page or by selecting “Cooking delicacies” at the food truck.
Hover over an ingredient and you will find out where to get the item. Click on Source to teleport to the area near the farm. Nuts and honey can be found near Tara’s farm, on the outskirts of Silver City. For eagle meat, you can defeat Parker enemies on the small island east of Springridge Town (also on the outskirts).
Then you go back to the food truck with the ingredients. Select “Cook delicacies”, start the cooking process by clicking on “Cook” and keep the temperature at the desired value by clicking the mouse. In between you also have to master a small reaction test. If you succeed, this task is already completed.
Task 2: Sharing dishes
The next step is to share a festival meal with a special person. To do this, go to Maeve Ironelbow, who is standing to the left of the food truck. He will tell you which dish you should bring him. Once you have done that, a timer will start. At the same time, two new interface displays will open.
Firstly, you will find out which player character you should bring the food to, and you can use the element to whisper to them directly in the chat. Secondly, you will get access to a skill that you must use near the character in order to share the food.
Since the character could be anywhere in the vicinity, it is recommended to write to them in a friendly manner and, after a short chat, invite them to join a group. This way, you should be able to find each other quickly. If the timer runs out without you completing the task, you can try again with Maeve.
Task 3: Collect a gourmet gift box
Participate in an Elite Dungeon or Arcane Realms content to be rewarded with a Gourmet Gift Crate. Once you collect it, you can pick up the next 20 Rainbow Candies on the event page.
Task 4: Find a Gourmet Chest
The God of Cooking has placed Gourmet Chests in certain areas on the outskirts of the city. Find one and collect the contents. There are twelve chests in total, four in each explorable region. What the event page doesn’t tell you: You need the right dish in pure quality in your inventory to be able to open the corresponding Gourmet Chest.
The easiest way is to get the chest from the Ancash tribe. Teleport to the village center and then head northwest, up the street to the chief’s house. To the left behind the house is a watchtower with the chest on it. You should be able to reach it with a magic staircase or a bold jump with your mount. But make sure you pack some Sour Wild Wolf Soup (pure) first!
The easiest way to find all Gourmet Chests for the Food Festival is to use the Explorers and Collectors tool in Tarisland.
Task 5: Join the gourmet party
The Gourmet Party is a mini-game in Tarisland where you take on the role of a small creature and have to eat lots of cake. The more cake you eat, the heavier you get. When you have eaten a few cakes, you can have yourself weighed. Depending on your weight, you will receive rainbow sweets as rewards.
Be careful of other players though, heavier creatures can also eat you and thus become even bigger. So pay close attention to who is chasing you and get yourself weighed in time, otherwise you could lose all your weight.
The event is only active at 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m. There are always problems with the time in the game. It is therefore quite possible that the event will only start at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Task 6: Defend the gourmet feast
The gourmet feast has also started. While the event is still running, thieves will come by every day at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and must be stopped. Here too, it can happen that the event only starts at 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., even if the display in the game shows something different.
