Nissan The 2022 sustainability report revisits priority environmental issues and details its actions.
Aiming for a cleaner, safer and more inclusive world, the brand continues to strengthen its sustainability commitment, which is critical for the realization of the Nissan Ambition 2030 roadmap, which it puts at the center of all its activities. To address societal issues and future trends, Nissan held the “Nissan Sustainability Seminar 2022” panel at its Global Headquarters in Yokohama. During the panel, environmental, social and governance (ESG) experts discussed the importance of consensus in tackling climate change for sustainability and how urgent issues can be addressed jointly.
The Nissan 2022 Sustainability Report, published simultaneously with the panel, includes a materiality matrix that assesses the value and impact Nissan provides to society and the environment, and their impact on the company. Chief Sustainability Officer Joji Tagawa said:At Nissan, we are committed to being a truly sustainable company.
This forms the basis of the trust that all our stakeholders have in us. Our progress and achievements last year are an indication that we put sustainability at the center of our target-oriented growth strategy, and that we create long-term value by combining innovation and sustainability. Our efforts towards the basic issues we have determined will continue to increase,” said.
