Last year announced Tareq Taylor that after 15 years in Trädgårdstider he would leave the popular SVT program. The first season, which aired in 2009, was recorded at the home of Gustav Mandelmann and Marie Mandelmann on Österlen. In addition to them, the Garden Times gang consisted of Pernilla Månsson Colt and Tareq.
However, the Mandelmann couple did not last long in the program. The following year, the well-known gardener took John Taylor about their place in Garden Times. The decorator Malin Persson joined the gang five years later.

Tareq was replaced by the chef Adam Aamannand in an interview with News24 told Malin Persson recently about how it felt to record without Tareq.
– Of course it felt very sad when Tareq decided to quit, said Malin Persson.

Garden Times wasn’t the only show Tareq left. He also chose to quit there after five years as a chef in the SVT program Stjärnorna på slotlett. In the Stars at the Castle, he was replaced by the cook Frida Ronge.

Tareq Taylor left the spotlight after the threats
The fact that Tareq has partially disappeared from the limelight can be explained by the fact that he was for a time subjected to terrible threats by a person who later came to be cared for in a psychiatric hospital.
– There has been a lot in the last year and a half. There are people who have been after me and uttered strong death threats against me which has caused me to sit in court recently. Now this person is in a psychiatric ward, Tareq told in an interview with The evening paper.

Tareq Taylor makes a comeback with the program Here is your fridge on Kanal 5
Now it is clear that Tareq Taylor is making a long-awaited comeback in the television box. This autumn he is back with the program Here is your refrigerator. There, Tareq visits famous Swedes in their homes. Together with the celebrity, Tareq will cook a three-course dinner. The catch is that the only ingredients they are allowed to use are what is already in the fridge or pantry.
– It is an honor to take over such a classic program as Here is your fridge. Looking into the fridge at someone’s home is perhaps the most exciting thing there is, the contents of a fridge can tell you as much as you want about a person, says Tareq Taylor in a press release.

The premiere of the program will be later this autumn on Kanal 5 and Max. Tareq Taylor is happy about his new top job, to say the least.
– I am a curious person who finds it extremely fun and inspiring to share other people’s interests. In addition to cooking fun food and giving great tips, I will get an insight into their private life, what has shaped them and taken them to where they are today, says Tareq Taylor further.
Here is your fridge is an old classic TV format, originally broadcast on SVT in the early 1990s. Among the celebrities who were visited in their home – and in their fridge – were among others Monica Zetterlund, Lill-Babs, Gunde Svan, Carola Häggqvist, Börje Salming and Tommy Körberg.
The program was broadcast for a total of five seasons, and the last one was shown on TV 8 in 2014.
