The Swedish Olympic bronze medalist Tara Babulfath suspended for three months, reports SVT Sports.
Babulfath is punished for his protests in the Olympic judo semi-finals in Paris.
– It’s tough. Judo is the best thing I know and going abroad to camps and competing is something I live for, says Babulfath to SVT Sport.
It is the International Judo Federation that has chosen to suspend her for three months. The suspension applies until October 31.
The reason is that she did not leave the mat after she lost the semi-final.
– I certainly wouldn’t have reacted the way I did to a regular competition, if it had been a Grand Slam, but now the Olympics are every four years. There is so much behind it, a goal you have had for four years that you have worked constantly for, says Tara Babulfath.
