Tappara provided knockout drops for the Pelicans in the first

Defending champion Tappara cemented its first SM league final victory with a wild goal kick at the end of the second period. Thanks to five different goal scorers, the victory was recorded for Tappara 5–1 (1-0, 3-1, 1-0).

For the first time in the playoff series, the game discipline of the Lahti team slipped. Pelicans star player Lukas Jasek ran furiously into the booth after Tappara’s third goal. The cup of the golden helmet could not withstand Tappara’s excellent tone.

– Lukas Jasek came furiously past me about 30 centimeters away. First he threw his club at the door and smashed it to pieces in the corridor of the locker room. Jasek was so furious that luckily I happened to be 30 centimeters away, reporter Jussi Paasi comment from the corridor.

Tappara dominated the opening set and got the prize when Christian Tanus took Tappara to a 1–0 lead in 7:29. Mikael Seppälän the line drawing went off From Patrik Bartosak to the front, from where Tanus with his soft hands flicked the puck into the top corner.

– Coach From Jussi Tapola tactical choice when putting Jori Lehterän chain to the ice. Tanuis “swim” to the puck in time and lifted the game tool up with silky soft hands. Nice finish, many people would have screamed at the puck mattresses from that situation, expert Top Nättinen pointed out.

Savinainen’s stick touched Bartosak’s mask, Niemelä was totally charred

Pelicans coach Tommi Niemelä challenged Tappara’s opening goal because Veli-Matti Savinainen the stick would touch the goal before Bartosak’s mask based on the image from the side camera. However, the hit was approved after video review.

Niemelä was hot as a hot hook for the judges and used strong words as an excuse. Fortunately for the Pelicans, the team cleared the ensuing Tappara’s superiority after unsuccessfully challenging it. The shots in the opening set went to Tappara 21–6.

– The Pelicans have been “under sail” in these playoffs before, but have survived them without a setback. Did the people from Lahti have any excitement when the Pelicans somehow got their game back in the last five minutes, Nättinen wondered.

The Pelicans entered the second period with a rush and efficiency. A quick counterattack from the visitors, from which Iikka Kangasniemi and Lenni Killinen found with their passes Topias Vileninwho leveled the scores at 1–1 in 21:46.

No less than three Tappara players focused on the situation in Kangasniemi, who at that point skillfully distributed the puck to Killinen, who made the decisive pass to the goal scored by defender Vilen.

In the second set, Tapparata was seen playing exceptionally carelessly, as a result of which the coach Jussi Tapola took the time allowance in 31:37. Something happened during the short break, as Tappara cheered up and scored three goals in less than three minutes at the end of the set.

The Pelicans’ downfall began Ben Blood’s from the cold, which came in 36:48. The Yankee defender “climbed” Kristian Tanunsen over and pressed the opponent to the ice. Finally, in a 5–1 situation, there was no longer any doubt about the winner.
