Our idea of a smart city has the aim of preserving and promoting the beauty of our territory through the Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, 5G and IoT. Our commitment, as TIM Enterprise, is to make new forms of dissemination available to public administrations and institutions, so that the history of Italian cities can have a new life and new perspectives through innovation, as well as making them more sustainable and safe , improving the lives of citizens and tourists”. Thanks to the meeting of artistic and technological skills, in Piazza IX Aprile, the public of the Sicilian event will be able to live an immersive experience, a journey that will allow them to increase their knowledge of the territory among historical and literary masterpieces and characters from the past. With the TIM Enterprise eXtended Reality platform – capable of combining 3D content, images and stereoscopic 360 videos – usable from different devices, including the Virtual Reality viewers that will be made available, visitors will in fact be transported inside an interactive virtual path in which the actors Donatella Finocchiaro and David Coco will illustrate the artistic wonders of Taormina through texts of famous works. The project was created by TIM Enterprise, in collaboration with Impersive and Centounopercento for the production of the content.
For the entire duration of the Festival ademo area to raise awareness of the potential of TIM Enterprise applications dedicated to smart cities, such as TIM Urban Genius platform, a virtual control room, equipped with the best digital technologies, which creates a sustainable digital city model capable of responding even to sudden events. The data, collected in anonymous and aggregate form, is reported in intuitive graphics within dashboards or even directly on video walls available to the Administrations. The information is processed thanks to the most recent Big Data analytics and Artificial Intelligence methodologies.
Furthermore, tomorrow on the occasion of the Gala in the Teatro Antico, the TaoTIM Award, as part of the consolidated partnership that links TIM to the international Festival.
Participation in the Taormina event underlines once again the commitment of TIM Enterprise, the Group’s Business Unit dedicated to large companies and the Public Administration, for the development of smart cities starting from cities of art, which can become sustainable, safe and accessible, making use of platforms based on the most modern technologies such as the cloud, artificial intelligence and IoT, putting them at the service of local administrations and cultural institutions and tourist agencies.
