In Tanzania, suspected cases of Marburg virus disease, a virus from the same family as Ebola and which also causes hemorrhagic fever, have been identified in the Kagera region, located in the northwest of the country. According to the World Health Organization, there are currently nine suspected cases, including eight deaths. Analyzes are underway to confirm the diagnosis.
