No solution has yet been reached between Democrats and Republicans, and it will take some time, the White House announced late Thursday.
The talks between President Joe Biden and the Republican leaders in Congress have been postponed until next week.
They were supposed to have been held on Friday but were postponed to allow the parties to prepare better and discuss at lower levels.
