Iraq and the United States are to begin talks about American withdrawal of forces from Iraq. This also applies to US allies who have troops in Iraq.

The information comes from diplomatic sources, but Spain’s foreign minister stated on Thursday that the situation in Iraq with continuous attacks on foreign forces “must come to an end”.

The foreign military presence in Iraq is due to the fight against the terrorist movement IS. But recently, foreign military installations have been subjected to repeated attacks. According to the US, over 150 attacks have been carried out since October, and IS has claimed responsibility for several.

– We are extremely concerned about the continuous attacks against international military bases in Iraq, said the Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares during a visit to Iraq.

Spain is one of the countries that has sent forces to Iraq.
