Talks about the support after the break-up with Oskarshamn

Tomas Rydén had to leave abruptly before Christmas • “Many people think I deserve better”

Tomas Rydén entered the season as Oskarshamn’s first choice in goal, but had a difficult autumn where he did not find his way back to the fine form of the spring.

Before Christmas, he was told that he would not be allowed to train with the team any more.

Said he was sick

In an interview with the local newspaper The barometer he told about how he felt bad during the autumn but that he lacked support from the club.

– I was very clear to my coaches and my manager (Oscar Alsenfelt) at the end of September or the beginning of October that I was not feeling well. I said that straight out, that I needed help and support to get out of the mental game. I have received no response to that – at all. I’ve been fighting like hell with myself, fighting every day for it to come off, he told the paper on December 20.

Tells about the support

Now Rydén is looking for a new club and in Värmland’s Folkblad he talks about the support he received after the interview in the Barometern.

– Mostly I have received very nice words and support from both acquaintances and strangers. Many believe that I deserve better, that’s something I take with me, he tells VF.

He says his agent is working hard to find him a new club address.

– I don’t want to wait too long, I want to play hockey and belong to an association.
