Takeoff, a member of the popular rap group Migos, was shot and killed in Houston on Tuesday morning. The rapper was 28 years old.

According to reports, Takeoff was the uncle of another member of Migos Quavo while spending time at the bowling alley in the early hours of Tuesday morning, when as a result of an argument, the as-yet-unnamed shooter opened fire. As a result of the shooting, Takeoff died and two others who were present were wounded.
A representative of the Houston Police Department said the unnamed victim was shot in the head or neck. Two other victims, who have not yet been named, were taken to the hospital with injuries.
Takeoff, Quavo and Takeoff’s cousin Offset formed by Migos visited Finland at the peak of their popularity at Blockfests in Tampere in 2017.
Over the past year, Takeoff focused on releasing music with Quavo under the name Unc & Phewand the duo’s latest music video for the song Messy was released just hours before the fatal shooting.
