The Marengo trial, which has been going on for almost six years, revolves around six murders and thirteen attempted liquidations. Many of these took place in the criminal circuit in or around Utrecht. According to the Public Prosecution Service, there was a liquidation gang led by the main suspect Taghi and Saïd R from Utrecht. It was previously announced that R., who was also given a life sentence, will appeal.
