For Tage Wikström, the Olympics are the biggest dream. He attends the ski high school in Vännäs and hopes one day to be able to ride for Sweden.
– It’s so much fun to be with friends and come up with lots of tricks. You can always develop, says Tage.
And he wants to continue to develop. So to maximize the amount of exercise, he and sister Astrid took matters into their own hands – and built a ski facility in the garden.
– We get good ideas together. She also skis, but she doesn’t ski as extreme as I do.
“You can take what you have”
On the plot, they have built a ski park with lots of choices. There is a jump, a rail, even a tow lift. For the lift, they had to put their heads together and think a little extra.
– You can take what you have. It was an old electric bike that we don’t use. So we built a lift out of it.
