Table tennis: Truls Möregårdh with a brilliant stopping ball in another victory – lost his first set in the EC

Möregårdh defeated the 75-ranked Frenchman Thibault Poret 4-1 in sets (11-6, 5-11, 11-8, 11-8, 11-7). Trul’s first set loss during the EC.

– All the matches are very tough, I let go a little bit of focus and it was a little easier to make mistakes than before and it pays off immediately, says Truls Möregårdh.

The finish from Truls was also classy as he lobbed the ball high (see finish below).

– It feels good. A difficult match, he stepped up from the start and really showed that he has the level to be up here, continues Möregårdh.

Later today, Truls will first play the doubles semi-final together with Anton Källberg. After that, they both face each other in the singles quarterfinals.

– It is always special to meet Swedes, of course. Me and Anton, if anyone, have a close eye on each other, I don’t know how many hours we have lived and trained with each other. We’ve got the ball rolling and it’s going to be a special match.
