Table tennis: Anton Källberg won the crazy duel in the round of 16 – further after a shocker

It could have been a 3-1 deficit in the set against the Slovenian Darko Jorgic.

Then Anton Källberg was responsible for the ball of the match in the round of 16. The Swede took the lead with 12-11 in the fourth set when he finally won a crazy duel against Jorgic – and thus tied the set at 2-2.

– I can hardly breathe. So well done, says SVT’s expert Anna-Carin Ahlquist.

Even Källberg was satisfied with the ball.

– It was very nice, he says.

Shiver ending

Källberg then took the lead 3-2 before Jorgic came back to make it 3-3.

The match was a thriller and was decided in the seventh set.

Then Anton Källberg stepped forward when it mattered most. The Swede saved three match points and won the final set with 13-11 and the match with a total of 4-3 in sets.

In the quarter-finals, Källberg meets the winner between Thibault Poret and Truls Möregårdh – and the 27-year-old is sure who he wants to face.

– Truls, of course. No talk about it, it would be great fun, says Källberg.
