The Syrian aviation authorities say they are preparing to open both Damascus and Aleppo airports to air traffic.
The airport of Damascus, the capital of Syria, will open for international commercial air traffic on January 7.
The head of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority tells about it Assad al-Salibi for the Syrian news agency Sana.
According to Al-Salib, the authorities are now preparing to open an airport not only in Damascus, but also in the northern Syrian city of Aleppo.
Syrian airports have been in restricted use since of al-Assad the regime collapsed after the revolution of the HTS Islamist rebels started in early December.
