Last week, the new Syrian interim government announced the dissolution of all armed factions in Syria. Consequently, the numerous factions of the Syrian national army, hitherto financed and supported discreetly by Turkey, in the north of the country, are now integrated into the new regular army. This transition is notably visible in Manbij, where these factions had been deployed for two months to wage war on the Kurdish armed forces parked a few kilometers to the east, on the Tichrine dam.
