SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada Beta Review / PC
SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is a shooter game with survival-themed elements that takes players to a future universe. in the game Drifters We control the characters called and collect AO crystals by exploring the planet Amasia. These valuable crystals are of great importance both to provide economic gain and to support your progress.
Game Mechanics and Gameplay Dynamics
The game gives players mecha-like vehicles called Coffincrable, and these vehicles are one of the most important building blocks of the game. It is possible to customize your mechas in various ways, which allows you to develop strategies according to your playing style. Additionally, your artificial intelligence friend, called Magus, who accompanies you, adds a different dimension to the atmosphere of the game.
The game requires you to compete not only against creatures, but also other Drifters. This makes the fight more intense and challenging. In each mission, your main goal is to collect crystals and return them safely to base. However, in the process, you face obstacles from both creatures and other Drifters. Developing a balanced strategy against both sides is one of the enjoyable and challenging aspects of the game.
AO Crystals: The Key to Survival
The game centers around AO crystals. Collecting these crystals doesn’t just mean collecting points, but getting them back to base safely is one of the main goals of the game. Crystals provide funds that open the door to larger and more challenging tasks in later stages. However, every crystal hunt brings you encountering tough enemies and competition from other players.
One of the most striking features of the game is that everything you collect disappears when you die. If you fail a battle, you lose both the crystals and most of your equipment, including your mecha. This requires players to plan each move more carefully and adds a serious risk-benefit balance to the game.
Environmental Exploration and Resource Management
In the closed beta test of SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada, players are offered the opportunity to explore a wide environment. Collecting resources on the map is one of the basic building blocks of the game. However, these resources are limited and not always easily accessible. Some resources are protected by powerful enemies and collecting them can pose a great risk. Additionally, since your mecha has limited energy levels in the game, you need to carefully plan the time you spend on the surface.
Gameplay and Battle Dynamics
The game’s crafting system allows players to create their own strategies. However, for this system to be fully effective, resource management needs to be improved. Your mecha’s inventory is quite limited, with only 100 slots offered. This limitation can make the gaming experience difficult, as basic items such as ammo quickly fill this space. It would be a big plus if the developers improved this inventory management in the full release.
Additionally, we observed some control and hitbox issues in the game. This can sometimes create a great disadvantage during war. But we hope these issues will be fixed in the full version.
Graphics and Sound Design
Although it is in closed beta phase, it is possible to say that the graphics of the game are quite impressive. Detailed environments and lighting effects give the player the feeling of being in a world set in the future. However, some graphic errors and frame drops may be observed. We think these should be fixed in the final version. Sound design is one of the important elements that complete the atmosphere. Mecha sounds, explosions and environmental sounds allow the player to become more immersed in the game.
Aspects That Need Improvement
When we look at the general structure of the game, there are points that need improvement, especially on inventory management and controls. The current inventory system may prevent players from playing the game more smoothly. In addition, hitboxes in battles and occasional delays in controls slow down the pace of the game. In addition to these, graphical optimization should also be addressed in the full version.
General Evaluation
SYNDUALITY Echo of Ada is one of Bandai Namco’s promising new shooter games. During our time in closed beta testing, we clearly saw the potential the game had. It offers a remarkable gaming experience with its crystal collecting mechanics, competitive structure and customizable mecha systems. Although there are some problems, we believe that most of them will be fixed in the full version.
