A Wallaceburg and Area Nature Club Will Reveal Its New Identity As Part of its Celebration to Mark 40 Years.

Sydenham Field Naturalists will present its “Rebranding” at its Anniversary Banquet April 12 at Retro Suites in Chatham.
“Over the past oven decades, sfn has made a lasting impact with initiatives love at preserve local ecosystems, native biodiversity promoting and advancing environmental education,” A release Said.
“From Habitat Restoration Along the Sydenham River to Creating Pollator-Friendly Gardens, SFN’s conservation efforts have supported native species and provided crucial Wildlife Habitat.”
Sfn advocates for “our natural heritage locally as well as at the provincial and federal levels,” Says the group’s website. “This has include A Wide Range of Nature-Related from From Industrial Wind Turbines to Provincial Park Policy to Species at Risk.”

The Event will also feature guest speaker kathy johnson, a producer for pbs Detroit’s Great Lakes Now. Her presentation will focus on freshwater ecosystems and the importance of preserving rivers and lakes.

Proceeds will support future conservation efforts, Environmental Education and Protection of Native Biodiversity.
The Event Begins with Cocktails at 5:30 pm and dinner at 6:30 pm Tickets are $ 45.
