Speaking to state television SRF during his visit to Poland, Swiss Confederation President Ignazio Cassis evaluated the Ukraine-Russia war and the sanctions against Russia.
“IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR OUR Objectivity”
Noting that the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, whom he met during his visit, Cassis offered to send ammunition to Poland for Ukraine, Cassis said, “This proposal is not suitable for our neutrality. I have made this clear to Morawiecki.” said.
Regarding the sanctions against Russia, Cassis said, “The Polish government also requested full support for the sanctions. I conveyed to the Prime Minister that we are not only supporting the sanctions but are doing more.” he said.
After the meeting, Prime Minister Morawiecki said that the Swiss government should freeze the accounts and confiscate the assets of the Russian leaders in the country.
WHAT HAPPENED?
