Switzerland: Two Swedes dead in avalanche

Two Swedish men have died in an avalanche near the Swiss ski resort of Verbier. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the deaths to SVT Nyheter.

According to local media reports, the Swedes who died went off-piste.

According to the Foreign Ministry, they were natives of Norrland and Götaland respectively. The accident occurred on Saturday, and the next of kin have been notified.

Also last Thursday, a Swede died in an avalanche accident. Then it was a man in his 50s who died in Marmora in the Italian Alps.
